Yesterday

"... out for a walk together one late afternoon when the sun was hanging, a dark-red ball, in a sky which seemed hazed with bonfire smoke. The air was peppermint cold.." Mollie Panter-Downes One Fine Day

  2. Perfect photo for the quote! Saturday was a quiet day at home, but on Sunday we visited my oldest daughter at college... a very nice weekend, indeed!

  3. That sounds like a perfect day. I need to get more walks (and crumpets) into my weekends.

  5. I love the phrase peppermint cold, too. And it really is at the moment.

My weekend was full of academic-paper-reading and subsequent essay-writing, but i managed to squeeze in some slightly less compulsory reading, in a far more comfortable chair. All to a soundtrack of tea. But no crumpets! I must track those down, haven't had them in years...
