I can't quote this exactly but it's in Plum Sykes' book 'Bergdorf Blondes', and goes to prove that we gain something from the trashiest books we read. She wakes up one morning with a hangover and proclaims
'My hair hurts, my nails hurt.' I often think of this the morning after a 'should have drunk more water/eaten/ just said no to that last drink or two' good night out.
This is how I feel this morning....
I think I'll just go back and lie down before cleaning the flat and baking Dad's birthday cake...
