The spring onslaught continues with this e.e. Cummings poem.
Spring is like a perhaps hand
(which comes carefully
out of Nowhere) arranging
a window, into which people look (while
people stare
arranging and changing placing
carefully there a strange
thing and a known thing here) and
changing everything carefully
spring is like a perhaps
Hand in a window
(carefully to
and fro moving New and
Old things, while
people stare carefully
moving a perhaps
fraction of flower here placing
an inch of air there) and
without breaking anything.

What is spring like for you?
What a great poem - it really made me smile! At the moment it feels as though the beat of the ground under my feet has moved up a gear from the very slow thud it gave throughout winter.
ReplyDeleteIt also means light when I walk the dog and that can only be a good thing.
Tonia - So glad it made you smile. The light mornings are a reall gift from nature.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful poem!
ReplyDeleteSpring for me is sunny, hot and glorious. I am so happy the sun is out longer now. It makes my heart glad.
Anbolyn Yes seeing & feeling the sun does make ones heart glad. Hope you have a good spring day today.
