Very Sundayish

Thirty-first January
Wake very late after night's revels. The sun is shining and everything looks and feels very Sundayish. D.E. Stevenson Mrs Tim of the Regiment

We woke up at friends' home. Drank copious cups of tea. A cold drive home. The weekly food shop. A delicious afternoon sleep. Fresh bed linen. Warming supper.
How was your Sunday?

  1. Mmm, I like Sundayish days. Actually mine wasn't much different to yours except I woke in my own home and wandered aimlessly with the dog until we both got tired. Flocks of finches taking flight overhead made the most wonderful sound.

  2. A little more fresh air would have made my Sunday even more Sundayish. Hope you have a good week.

  3. Your Sunday sounds very cozy, especially the warming soup.
Saturday here in Los Angeles was one of the warmest and prettiest days I've seen in a long time. I went to the Getty Center which is a museum in west Los Angeles built up high on a mountain, and so has amazing views of the city. The views of L.A. were just gorgeous.
I had been so busy for several days before Sunday that I needed a rest and so I never left the house. It was wonderfully restful. And of course the day culminated in watching my favorite "Downton Abbey"!

  4. Sunday - I miss my Sunday evenings watching Downton Abbey. How lovely to have some warmth.

Ooh how lovely more stripes on the page...
Thank you for taking the time.
